Flushing type cooling: When the temperature of the sealing medium is between 0 and 80t, flushing type cooling is usually used for purchase. The inlet of the flushing fluid is aligned with the friction surface. The purpose of flushing is to keep the temperature of the friction surface within a certain range and to prevent the accumulation of impurities near the sealing end surface. This is a commonly used cooling method, which can be divided into two types: self flushing and external flushing.
Inner body flushing uses the sealed medium as the flushing fluid. Generally, pumps can be used to purchase mechanical seals. A small part of the liquid is drawn from the outlet of the pump, which directly flushes the friction end face, and then flows into the pump cavity. When conveying high-temperature or particulate media, a cooler or filter can be added to the pipeline from the pump outlet to the flushing inlet.
External flushing is to prepare a set of flushing fluid system for flushing and cooling. It is mostly used to seal high temperature or particle-containing media, but its structure is more complicated.
Static ring back cooling: This cooling method is to directly send the cooling medium (such as water) through the static ring back to the friction end surface that needs to be cooled, and the cooling medium does not mix with the working medium. This cooling method has a simple structure, a better effect, and a wider temperature range. But its disadvantage is that the hardness of the cooling water is required to be low, especially for the sealing of high-temperature media. Because when the water hardness is high, scale will be produced on the shaft near the end face of the seal, which will make the seal ineffective. At the same time, it is necessary to prevent the cooling water from leaking out along the extension end of the shaft.
Static ring outer periphery cooling: In order to solve the problem of scale, the method of static ring outer periphery cooling is adopted. This method avoids the generation of scale on the shaft or bushing because the cooling water does not directly contact the shaft or bushing, and also prevents the water from forming. Leakage on the axial side of the atmosphere can reduce the requirements for the quality of cooling water, but its cooling effect is not as good as the cooling of the back of the static ring.
